Upgrading Firmware using DVR/NVR

1. Locate camera or recorder firmware file by clicking on the link above.  Follow the links until you find your model.
2. Download and save to DIGICAP file to your Desktop.
3. Insert a USB in the computer.  Copy DIGICAP file to USB.  Eject USB from computer.
4. Insert USB into an empty USB port on the DVR/NVR.
5. 
On the DVR/NVR, go to the Main Menu, and then go to Maintenance.
6. From the sub-menus on the left click Upgrade. This will display the content of the USB flash drive.
7. Choose the DIGICAP file you from Step#2 and press Upgrade.
8. An information window will pop up prompting that the unit will reboot after the upgrade is complete. Click YES.

Upgrading Firmware of IP Cameras or DVR/NVR from a computer

1. Locate camera or recorder firmware file by clicking on the link above.  Follow the links until you find your model.

2. Make sure you run the browser as an administrator.  To run as administrator, right click on browser name. If you do not see run as administrator. Right click again on browser name again. Left click "Run as Administrator.
3. Download and save to DIGICAP file to your Desktop.

4. Log into the camera/recorder using the IP address.  Put in the administrator username and password, then go to the Configuration tab.
5. Click System and then click on the Maintenance tab.
6. On the bottom of the page under Remote Upgrade, press the Browse button to locate and choose the firmware file DIGICAP, which was previously saved on the Desktop.

7. After selecting the file, click Open, then click Upgrade.
8. The device will display a prompt that a reboot is necessary to complete the upgrade. Click OK. The camera
will reboot when the firmware is successfully uploaded.

**Attention:  Not all DVR/NVRs need updates.  While unlikely, an error can occur on the download, upload or even on the flash drive of a firmware update.  FIrmware updates are only recommended after all technical support attempts have been tried or the firstware is older than 2016.  Approved firmware updates are covered under standard warranty.  While unapproved firmware updates are covered under repair warranty only.***
